If you are looking for a non-chocolate dessert look no further. The Barefoot Contessa Easy Cranberry & Apple Cake is one of my favorite dishes. I made it recently to test it out for Thanksgiving and wound up making it two more times in one week because nobody in my house could keep their hands off it. The sour cream in the batter gives the cake a bit of a tang which works perfectly with the cranberry and apple. I served it with vanilla ice cream and it was a hit!
I love lighting candles but during the holiday season I don’t like to use a strong scent because it sometimes doesn’t mix well with the aroma of the food that’s cooking.
