Stools Fit for Every Home

An easy way to add some color and texture into your dining area is with seating. I’ve curated a list of 5 barstools and counter stools that I’ve come across in my search for the perfect pieces for my clients. If you’re selecting a counter stool you’re going to want to select a stool that has a seat height of about 24-26”. If you’re getting stools for a bar you want to select stools with a seat height of 28-30”. Always measure the height of the counter before starting your search!

Outdoor

The Forest High Back Barstool from Janus et Cie is a piece of art. The back of the stool is slightly curved for the upper body to offer comfort and the cutouts offer light to pass through the chair. Janus et Cie specializes in sophisticated outdoor furniture and décor so you can rest assured that this stool will be able to withstand all different types of weather.

Swivel

The Bradley Swivel Counter Stool from Williams Sonoma Home is a stunning, versatile, swivel counter stool option. You can select from multiple seat fabric and base finish options. The back of the chair is slightly curved to hug your body for a relaxing, comfortable feel.

Performance Fabric

The Morgan Barrelback Slope Arm Stool by Restoration Hardware is perfect for dining areas with high traffic. When ordering the chair you will select from 143 fabrics, some of those being performance fabrics. I highly suggest selecting one of the Perennials performance fabrics because they’re extremely durable and stain resistant.

Adjustable Height

Have a two-level bar? The Westlyn Bar Stool from Uttermost is a perfect option because it has an adjustable seat. The dark walnut stain and iron base make it perfect for an industrial style home. To purchase from Uttermost you need to use a designer or go to one of their dealers.

Pop of Color

Whenever I’m looking for a piece with a pop of color, my first stop is Jonathan Adler. The Rider Counter Stool. This velvet stool also adds another material that you don’t normally see in dining spaces.
